Achmea joins international Smart e-Mobility Program S4C

Achmea has joined the international Coast-to-Coast Smart e-Mobility program S4C. This public-private partnership is designed to promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation about new mobility concepts between US and Dutch governments and universities, knowledge institutions and companies. Partners joining SC4 beforehand are among others Brainport region Eindhoven, TomTom, NXP, TNO and TU Eindhoven.

The world of mobility is changing ever faster. As a large non-life insurer Achmea plays an important role in many of these changes. Achmea joins partner networks to shape the future of (electric) mobility together with other parties. As part of the S4C-program Achmea will share our expertise in the area of insurances with sector partners, universities and governments in The Netherlands and the US.

About S4C Coast to Coast Smart e-Mobility
The Netherlands the US West-Coasts are facing many of the same challenges on the fields of air quality, oil dependence sustainable employability, congestion and crowded cities. How we organize transportation is a key driver as it offers opportunities for change and economic growth. Smart and E-Mobility forms one of these promising opportunities. Since 2013 the Dutch government and the government of California have signed various agreements about collaboration and promotion on the area of Smart Mobility and e-Mobility. Next to that, the California Plug-In Electric Vehicle Collaborative and S4C have signed agreements to jointly work on knowledge exchange en business development. S4C has founded the Holland Mobility House, based in the Dutch consulate-general in San Francisco, to among others organize seminars, trade missions and study travels to support the goals of the partnership. http://coast2coastev.org/
