Erik van de Merwe to chair Eureko’s Supervisory Board in 2012

Erik van de Merwe has been appointed Chairman of Eureko’s Supervisory Board as from 5 April 2012. He will succeed Mr. Arnold Walravens, who is due to retire at the General Meeting of Shareholders on that date after two terms as Chairman. Mr. Van de Merwe has been a member of Eureko’s Supervisory Board since 2004 and is currently Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee.

In his new post, Mr. Van de Merwe will be Chairman of the Selection & Appointment Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee of Eureko’s Supervisory Board. He will stand down as Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee on the same date and will be succeeded by Mr. Aad Veenman, who has been a member of Eureko’s Supervisory Board since 2008.

Mr. Van de Merwe (60) has held various executive posts with financial institutions. A professional supervisory director, he is currently a member of the Supervisory Boards of Rabobank, Staalbankiers, Achmea Bank and GWK Travelex. Mr. Van de Merwe is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Dutch Burns Foundation.

In addition to Messrs. Van de Merwe, Walravens and Veenman, Eureko’s Supervisory Board also consists of Mr. J. Buurmeijer, Ms. S. van Lonkhuijzen‐Hoekstra, Ms. M. Lückerath‐ Rovers, Mr. M. Minderhoud, Mr. P. Overmars, Mr. H. Slijkhuis, Mr. A. Vermeer and Mr. B. van der Weg.
