Maarten Dijkshoorn resigns as CEO Eureko

With effect from January 1 2009 Maarten Dijkshoorn (58) steps down as chairman and CEO of the Executive Board of Eureko. He has taken this decision based on personal considerations. Eureko regrets this, but respects his decision.

Maarten Dijkshoorn started in 2002 as COO at Achmea. In 2005 he became chairman and CEO of the Executive Board of Eureko. During this period he led the successful merger with Interpolis in 2005 and health insurer Agis in 2007. Also, outside the Netherlands the group successfully expanded during these years, for example in Turkey and most recently in Russia. In the coming period the Supervisory Board will consider the succession and the appointment of a new CEO. Until then, Vice-Presidents Willem van Duin and Gerard van Olphen will temporarily replace the position.

Eureko is grateful for Maarten’s great efforts and contributions to the development and achievements of the group.
