Uco Vegter becomes new divisional chair of Interpolis

Uco Vegter has been appointed divisional chair of Interpolis as of 1 September 2023. He succeeds Chantal Vergouw, who joined KPN’s Board of Management on 1 June 2023.

For the past three and a half years, Uco has been CEO of Eureko Sigorta, Achmea’s subsidiary in Turkey. Prior to this, he spent five years as managing director of Achmea International. In this role, he was responsible for all Achmea’s international operations.

Uco has a wide-ranging international and domestic insurance background, managerial and entrepreneurial qualities and extensive experience in banking distribution. On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to thank Uco for his significant contribution to the development of Eureko Sigorta. I hope he enjoys his new role at Interpolis and wish him every success.”

It is not yet known who will succeed Uco Vegter. In view of the importance of Eureko Sigorta for Achmea, the procedure for the appointment of his successor has of course already started. Further information will follow as soon as possible.

Chantal Vergouw to move from Interpolis to KPN

Chantal Vergouw has been nominated to join KPN's Executive Board as of 1 June 2023. She has worked at Achmea as divisional chair of Interpolis since mid-2016.

Over the past seven years, Chantal has provided particularly inspirational leadership to Interpolis, including the significant, unifying role she has played in the successful partnership with Rabobank during this period. Her engaging personality and great commitment have contributed to Interpolis being where it is today. For that we are very grateful to Chantal. We wish her much pleasure and every success at KPN.”

Chantal Vergouw: “Seven years ago I started an exceptionally beautiful period of my working life. I have contributed with heart and soul to the development of Interpolis. It is great to see where the business is now and what excellent growth opportunities there still are. I feel very engaged with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders. I am proud of Interpolis and I am sure that I will miss the dynamics of the company and the insurance industry.”

It is not yet known who will succeed Chantal. The procedure for her succession has now started.
