Uco Vegter becomes new divisional chair of Interpolis

Uco Vegter has been appointed divisional chair of Interpolis as of 1 September 2023. He succeeds Chantal Vergouw, who joined KPN’s Board of Management on 1 June 2023.

For the past three and a half years, Uco has been CEO of Eureko Sigorta, Achmea’s subsidiary in Turkey. Prior to this, he spent five years as managing director of Achmea International. In this role, he was responsible for all Achmea’s international operations.

It is not yet known who will succeed Uco Vegter. In view of the importance of Eureko Sigorta for Achmea, the procedure for the appointment of his successor has of course already started. Further information will follow as soon as possible.

Uco Vegter has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Eureko Sigorta, Achmea’s subsidiary in Turkey. He succeeds Can Akın Çağlar, who stood down this spring. Since then Mr Vegter has been the acting CEO.

Uco Vegter has worked as managing director of Achmea International since early 2015, with the responsibility for all Achmea’s non-Dutch activities, including Eureko Sigorta.
