Peter Langenbach appointed new Division Chair of Zilveren Kruis

Peter Langenbach will be appointed Division Chair of Zilveren Kruis, Achmea's health insurer, with effect from 15 June 2026. He succeeds Georgette Fijneman, who will become CEO of PGGM Pensioenservices.

Peter Langenbach has served as Director of Healthcare Purchasing at Zilveren Kruis since July 2022. Prior to this, he was Chair of the Board of Directors of Maasstad Hospital in Rotterdam and a board member of Spijkenisse Medical Center. In addition, Peter is Associate Professor of Finance in Healthcare at TIAS Business School.

Georgette Fijneman to step down as Division Chair of Zilveren Kruis

Georgette Fijneman has decided to step down as Division Chair of Zilveren Kruis in the summer of 2026. After eight and a half years in this role, she has decided to explore options for taking her career in a new direction.

Georgette Fijneman joined Achmea in March 2016 as Director of Income Protection insurance and member of the board of the Non-Life division. She was appointed Division Chair of Zilveren Kruis as of 1 August 2017.

Bianca Tetteroo, Chair of the Executive Board of Achmea: “Georgette has made a major contribution to realising Achmea’s strategy and to the social domain of ‘Bringing healthcare closer’. With great dedication and a clear vision, she has left her mark on the growth and innovation of our health insurance business. Furthermore, she has actively committed herself to improving healthcare in the Netherlands, including by contributing to the national healthcare agreements. She has likewise focused on important themes such as skin cancer prevention, mental health and the role of employers in the health of their employees. In doing so, she has shaped the role of Zilveren Kruis as market leader: by engaging in these themes and speaking out on relevant issues.”

Achmea’s subsidiary Pim Mulier to become independent

Healthcare organisation Pim Mulier will operate independently from 1 June 2023. Current director Koos Telkamp and fellow-investor Jan Hagens will take over the company from Achmea and are confident that healthy growth and further development at Pim Mulier can be better achieved outside Achmea.

Pim Mulier promotes a healthy lifestyle for employees, teams and organisations. The business was set up in 1985 and has been part of Achmea since 1997. Organisationally, Pim Mulier is part of Zilveren Kruis, Achmea’s healthcare division.

Attention to health and prevention
Robert Otto, member of the Executive Board of Achmea: “We think everything that falls within the theme of health and prevention is very important. Therefore Achmea and Zilveren Kruis use the services of Pim Mulier for our own employees and collective customers. These will not be affected. In fact, for employees we will even include these services in our online learning platform All You Can Learn. On behalf of the Executive Board, I wish the new owners every success.”

Greater opportunities for innovation
Koos Telkamp: “As a result of becoming independent, Pim Mulier will have greater opportunities for innovation and to respond to a rapidly changing environment. We focus on sustainable behavioral change among our partners and clients. Outside Achmea, these include NOC*NSF/Papendal, Bouwend Nederland, ministries and universities of applied sciences. We are happy with this step, which again gives us a kind of startup feeling, and we are confident about a bright future.”

The transfer is subject to favourable advice from Achmea’s Central Works Council.

Georgette Fijneman appointed Divisional Chair at Zilveren Kruis

Georgette Fijneman has been appointed Divisional Chair of the health insurer, Zilveren Kruis, with effect from 1 August 2017. She succeeds Norbert Hoogers, who has decided to leave Achmea.

Georgette Fijneman joined Achmea in March 2016 as Director of Income Protection Insurance and member of the divisional management of Non-life & Income. Income protection policies help businesses and their employees to absorb the financial risks of sickness and occupational disability.
In the ten years before joining Achmea, Ms Fijneman held various management positions at SNS Bank, SNS Reaal and Zwitzerleven.

Willem van Duin, Chairman of the Executive Board: "We have found a great successor for Norbert Hoogers in Georgette and the Zilveren Kruis management team is being strengthened by somebody from within our own ranks. Georgette has a wide-ranging background in financial services. She is close to the customer, is socially engaged and can operate skilfully in a dynamic playing field with lots of stakeholders. These are qualities that are an excellent match for her new working environment."

Norbert Hoogers stepping down as Divisional Chairman of Zilveren Kruis

Norbert Hoogers (49) will be stepping down as Divisional Chairman of Zilveren Kruis as of 1 July 2017. He has decided to pursue other career opportunities outside Achmea.

Norbert Hoogers started in Achmea’s Occupational Health division in 2002 and made the switch to the Care & Health division in 2006, where he was made Director of Operations in 2008. On 1 July 2013, he was appointed Divisional Chairman of the Care & Health division, later renamed Zilveren Kruis.

Willem van Duin, Chairman of the Executive Board of Achmea, is sorry that Hoogers has decided to leave Achmea: “Over many years Norbert has made a major contribution to Achmea and Zilveren Kruis. The Executive Board is grateful to him and wishes him every success in his future career."

Finally, Norbert Hoogers: "I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Board of Zilveren Kruis for the past nine years. It has been an intensive and eventful period during which we have achieved a lot within our organisation and in the healthcare sector. As a Divisional Chairman, I am closing a great chapter. I am looking forward to being more directly involved with customers, business operations and the continuing service improvements in a future role. At this stage, I do not know what that will be.”

As soon as Hoogers' successor is known, we will make a further announcement.
