Achmea appoints Rogier Peters member of the Executive Board and Chief Risk Officer

Rogier Peters will be appointed as a member of the Executive Board and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Achmea, effective 1 October 2026. He will succeed Michiel Delfos, who will step down on the same date. Rogier Peters has held the position of CRO at international insurer MSIG Europe, which specialises in commercial non-life and maritime insurance, since 2020. 

Rogier Peters is an experienced insurance executive and an expert in risk management with an actuarial background. He has worked in the international insurance sector for more than twenty years and previously held CRO roles at Ageas UK and Etiqa, among others. His career began in actuarial practice at Tillinghast Towers Perrin, Aegon and Fortis. He studied Actuarial Science at the University of Amsterdam and followed supplementary courses in Asset Liability Management (ALM) and risk management.

Composition of the Board
The newly composed Executive Board will comprise of Bianca Tetteroo (Chair), Michel Lamie (Vice-Chair and CFO), Rogier Peters (CRO), Daphne de Kluis, Robert Otto and Lidwien Suur.

The appointment of Rogier Peters has been approved by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) and received a positive recommendation from the Central Works Council. His appointment was discussed at Achmea’s General Meeting today.
