Conclusion of 2021-2025 strategic period
Bianca Tetteroo, Chair of the Executive Board, said: “With the presentation of the annual report, the 2021-2025 strategic period has come to a close. In 2021, we set a number of financial targets for the end of 2025. We are proud to report that we have exceeded these targets, including an operational result of € 938 million (target: € 650–750 million) and capital generation of € 504 million (target:
€ 500 million). Since 2021, we have achieved growth of almost 40% in both revenue and premium volume, and delivered revenue increases across all segments. We continued to support millions of customers in the Netherlands and abroad, and our services continue to be highly valued, as reflected in strong customer satisfaction scores. We also delivered solid results in sustainability and societal impact. By the end of 2025, impact investments accounted for 12.2% (€ 4.7 billion) of our own investment portfolio, surpassing our 10% target.
We look back on a successful period and, with strong ambition, are entering a new strategic phase towards 2030. I would like to thank our customers and partners for the trust they place in Achmea. I look forward to continuing to live up to this trust in the years ahead, maintaining high customer satisfaction and ensuring that Achmea continues to make a meaningful contribution to society."

Dividend distribution
The General Meeting has approved the proposal to distribute a dividend of € 415 million for 2025. Shareholders may choose to receive a (partial or full) cash dividend or a stock dividend in ordinary Achmea shares.
Of the total € 415 million, € 321 million will be distributed as a dividend in shares (77%) and € 94 million in cash (23%). Vereniging Achmea and STAK Achmea, the largest shareholder, prefer to receive the € 287 million dividend entirely in shares. Bianca Tetteroo welcomed with this choise: “Vereniging Achmea’s and STAK Achmea’s preference to receive their dividend in shares enables us to further invest in customer service and in the development of innovative products that help prevent damage and promote health. This also enables us to deliver greater societal impact in line with our cooperative identity.”
